Genesis

I'm starting this blog over, or rather, I'm going to keep up with it this time. I'm not too sure anybody will read this, and if you don't well, I guess you're not missing out. I like this platform better than Tumblr though, so here I am.

I am Nina, and I'm a writer.

There is no other way for me to describe myself other than a writer. I am immersed in a world of words, and I have been for my entire life. Writing is not just my hobby, and career choice. It is my life and my passion and I fully intend on pursuing it. And in typical writer fashion, I'm a big fan of cats.

Although I live in New Jersey now, I'm from Omaha, Nebraska. For the last few years of my life I haven't acknowledged my hometown, but now that I'm older I realize that Omaha is still just as responsible for who I am, just like New Jersey, and it would be silly of me to disregard it. Besides, there is no place in the world like the Omaha Old Market anyway. Often times in my writing there are inspirations from Omaha, and that is undeniable. The same goes for Freehold, and Jersey in general as well.

I'm quirky and bizarre and that's just how I am. I really have such a soft spot for animals in my heart. I'm a shoe lover, specifically Doc Martens. I also sell kid's shoes at Stride Rite. Life is better with coffee and bagels, I'm pale and proud, and I'll never be caught without a notebook and a pen. I'm studying English with a creative writing focus, and intend on becoming a high school English teacher. I'll be using this blog as a platform for writing, and updating my personal life. I use Twitter and Instagram frequently as well.
