What's the story morning glory

This morning, the coffee sucks. I'm hoping that's not a precursor to my day. Although the last thing I want to do normally is wake up, I'm always happy when I follow through. Mornings are lovely. I just find them so peaceful. I can sip my coffee casually while leafing through a magazine, or skimming a few pages of a novel, or perhaps scribble a few sentences in my Moleskine. It helps me gather my thoughts and gets me ready for my day.

Today I'm missing out on the Asbury Park zombie walk that I was going to cover for an online newspaper, and I'm also missing out on a huge dog walk that benefits the local animal shelter I volunteer for. Rather than doing those things, I'll be working from 11:30 to 7:30. It's unfortunate, but there's nothing I can do. I have a commitment to work first.

I have some school work hanging over my head right now as well, specifically my public speaking presentation that I'll be presenting next Wednesday. I'm hoping to get that sorted out and finished tonight though, so I can practice and perhaps calm some of my nerves.

All in all, everything is pretty good. Here's to hoping that fall weather returns soon. A high of 79 is not what I want to see.
