Much to our dismay, hurricane Sandy was just as devastating as they predicted. I'm one of many to talk about the destruction that we incurred, as well as the further damage that the winter storm Athena. It is so incredibly sad to see the state that I have grown to love so dearly in such poor condition. I know we will recover though, and through the destruction we have all become closer and more grateful, especially as the holidays approach.
If you were not directly affected by the hurricane but wish to help, I strongly urge you to donate. Anything helps, and there are thousands in need. Also, don't forget about the animals. I understand that people come first, but just remember that animals can't call the Red Cross and many people who lost their homes also lost their pets. Considering fostering or even adopting.
